About

I moved to New York in 2008 with the dream of becoming a filmmaker. During an intensive NYU class I wrote, directed and edited 6 short films using a 16mm Arriflex S camera. Meanwhile I worked on film sets on more than 30 projects including Ricardo Benet’s film -Nomads” and I completed a six month art internship for the first season of “Louie” TV show on FX.

On set I’m either art director/production designer or set photographer and I enjoy tackling both of them. I have several projects waiting for me in 2012 (as art director) and my own script needs to be polished and filmed.

During a few occasions I had the chance to work as DP (Director of Photography) and currently I owe a Canon 7D that I love to operate.

Before coming to New York I worked as journalist/editor for various magazines (TV Mania, Revista Cultura, Liternet, Cineuropa.org) and cinema sitesĀ  in Romania. I wrote articles about film, music, theater, festivals and concerts. During those years I met directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Nikita Mikhalkov, Cristian Mungiu among others.

When I’m not busy working on film sets I enjoy writing film reviews and taking photos.
